About QueryTracker

Let QueryTracker tell you more about this literary agent. Including...

  • Query Response Times
  • Genres of Interest
  • Preferred Manuscript Lengths
  • The Best Time to Query
  • And More
And best of all, it's FREE.

How it works?

Writers provide data about their query experiences with literary agents.

That data is then compiled into reports showing details about each agent's query history, allowing writers to reach the literary agent that is right for their book.

Why is QueryTracker Free?

QueryTracker is free because it is our goal to collect as much data as possible about query letter results.

To do that, we need as many members as possible to submit their data, and the best way to do that is to make it free.

So please, join us in building the web's largest collection of query data.

Agents, please contact us to make any changes to your profile.

Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

I queried on 6/25/14 and have not received a response yet. But, I see cbrook22 and repete130 queried after me and have gotten responses. Now I'm paranoid. Has anyone else queried prior to 6/30/14 and not received a response.

Hi bluetwilight84,

I haven't queried Ms. Jackson but I took a look at her guidelines right this very minute, and you appear to be correct -- she asks for five pages and a synopsis. Since she asks for a synopsis of 1-2 pages, that says to me that she doesn't mean the brief description we put in a query letter. She also says that it should be pasted into the text of the email along with the pages, so yeah, not the one in the query letter.

My guess is that she sometimes gets queries without the synopsis, and she just asks for the synopsis if and when she requests more pages. Also I looked at her personal website, not the agency's, and the agency website may not mention the synopsis. That sometimes happens.

Good luck with your query!
