About QueryTracker

Let QueryTracker tell you more about this agent. Including...

  • Query Response Times
  • Genres of Interest
  • Preferred Manuscript Lengths
  • The Best Time to Query
  • And More
And best of all, it's FREE.

How it works?

Writers provide data about their query experiences with agents.

That data is then compiled into reports showing details about each agent's query history, allowing writers to reach the agent that is right for their work.

Why is QueryTracker Free?

QueryTracker is free because it is our goal to collect as much data as possible about query letter results.

To do that, we need as many members as possible to submit their data, and the best way to do that is to make it free.

So please, join us in building the web's largest collection of query data.

Agents, please contact us to make any changes to your profile.

Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

YA Fantasy

Form, but slightly different from WhataWriter's below:

Thanks for writing about your novel. This is very well done, but I'm afraid I don't feel I'm the right fit for it. I'm sure others will feel differently, so I'll step aside with all best wishes for your finding the right match elsewhere. Thanks again for the opportunity to consider this, and best wishes for its success.

JD, here's some helpful advice. Don't query all of your projects to one agent at the same time. That's why you get rejections. Wait at least a month or two between rejections before you try another ms. That's the rule of thumb. If they ask for other works, you can mention the others. So far I've seen three of yours been querying now. Please read the submission guidelines. Put your best one at first and build from there.

Full Request 03/18

Personal Reject 04/04

This one was a gut punch, but the note was very kind. She liked my female character's Jack Reacher outlook, but didn't sync with the quirkier aspects and unfolding romance. Tis cool, and ever onward.
