"Thank you for sending me your query. After much thought, I have unfortunately come to the conclusion that this is not something I wish to pursue, and therefore, must pass."
"After much thought"-Not sure if that makes me feel better or worse.

3/20 she passed, with a very kind offer to consider the novel again if I make a few changes to pacing/tone. So, an R&R, I guess?
I've been toying with a revision idea over the past few weeks that would probably fix all of the problems she's talking about. I just sent her my ideas, and I'm waiting to hear what she thinks. I was feeling really burnt out on this novel, thinking that if no one bites on this round of queries I might not touch it again until I'm done with my current WIP, but now I'm feeling excited again. Who knows, maybe I'll give it a shot.
UPDATED: Okay, we've been back and forth, and it's definitely an R&R. I'm feeling really good about this, even though I have several months of work ahead of me if I decide to go through with the revision. But it's all for the good of the novel, right?
