About QueryTracker

Let QueryTracker tell you more about this agent. Including...

  • Query Response Times
  • Genres of Interest
  • Preferred Manuscript Lengths
  • The Best Time to Query
  • And More
And best of all, it's FREE.

How it works?

Writers provide data about their query experiences with agents.

That data is then compiled into reports showing details about each agent's query history, allowing writers to reach the agent that is right for their work.

Why is QueryTracker Free?

QueryTracker is free because it is our goal to collect as much data as possible about query letter results.

To do that, we need as many members as possible to submit their data, and the best way to do that is to make it free.

So please, join us in building the web's largest collection of query data.

Agents, please contact us to make any changes to your profile.

Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

I just received this:
From:
"Jillian Manus"

I will be completely out of communication until the end of August. I will not be responding to emails nor can I be reached by phone. My assistant, Theresa van Eeghen, will do her best to handle all pressing issues.

Queried Jandy Nelson. Rec'd the following response immediately:
Thank you for your email. I am currently on sabbatical. Please contact Penny Nelson at penny@manuslit.com or Theresa van Eeghen at theresa@manuslit.com for assistance. I will not be taking on new clients at this time. If this is a query and you would like to resubmit to Manus & Associates Literary Agency, please visit our website (www.manuslit.com) and read the bios of our agents to see to whom it would be the best to submit. Jillian Manus and Dena Fischer represent both fiction and nonfiction projects. Penny Nelson represents exclusively nonfiction projects.

I wish you the best with your writing!

Warmest Wishes,
Jandy Nelson

Finally got my submission back, six months after I submitted it. Not a form rejection letter, just a form note.

Sent snail mail submission on April 25. Query, proposal, sample chapters, as they requested. They say they always respond to snail mail submissions, but still nothing. It's been more than three months. Any idea how long I should wait?
