About QueryTracker

Let QueryTracker tell you more about this agent. Including...

  • Query Response Times
  • Genres of Interest
  • Preferred Manuscript Lengths
  • The Best Time to Query
  • And More
And best of all, it's FREE.

How it works?

Writers provide data about their query experiences with agents.

That data is then compiled into reports showing details about each agent's query history, allowing writers to reach the agent that is right for their work.

Why is QueryTracker Free?

QueryTracker is free because it is our goal to collect as much data as possible about query letter results.

To do that, we need as many members as possible to submit their data, and the best way to do that is to make it free.

So please, join us in building the web's largest collection of query data.

Agents, please contact us to make any changes to your profile.

Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Hi. I got this exact comment from another agent. I was thrilled, keeping my fingers crossed, thinking it meant something positive. They said that everybody at the office was reading it. All of this is true, I think, but unfortunately mine resulted in a very nice and helpful rejection. Here's my opinion: This is a compliment. They are considering your manuscript, but keep sending out. I regret that I just kind of waited for them to respond. In my case, it was my number one agent choice and I thought, "if she picks me I don't want to deal with thinking about anyone else." Keep submitting. Keep going. Don't count on this ending up positive, but I really hope it does. In my case it went back and forth with very positive emails. At one point I said to my husband, "They'd never be this positive if it was going to end up negatively," but alas it did. I think it's a process--they read it, their staff reads it, they all weigh in on whether or not its marketable. Just keep submitting. Better safe than sorry. Hope this helps and good, good luck. Try to be neutral until you actually sell the book. I know it's hard. I wish I could do it.

Anyone ever get a note (after submitting a full) saying that they are enjoying the book and will be in touch soon. It came a few days after I submitted and I'm wondering if its a form way of saying they received it... Or if I should be excited : )
