I've spent enough time here to know that, just because an agent still has fantasy included on their form, it doesn't necessarily mean that they're still actively looking for that particular genre. And sometimes they select general fantasy when they're actually looking specifically for YA or MG only. I've lost count as to how many agents have 2+ years of nothing but CNRs for fantasy without a single response, but they still keep it listed on their MSWLs and the query forms.
The majority of agents/agencies aren't exactly transparent about the market trends that determine what the editors at a lot of these publishers are looking for at any given point, so it leaves us, as writers, in a state of limbo for indefinite periods of time, which eventually leads to mass collections of CNRs that just auto-time out after the 120 day preset.

Yes @RD1981, but she does list fantasy on her query form.

Fantasy doesn't seem to be on her "what I'm looking for" list on the agency website anymore, and she hasn't responded to any fantasy queries that have been submitted since February. I'm 40 days in at this point and there's been no movement on the timeline in the last 90 days, so I'm just going to mark this as a CNR. Very disappointing.

78k YA Contemporary Fantasy

"I’m sorry that your follow-up email slipped past my notice. I think this is such an inventive premise for a contemporary fantasy with a truly exciting blend of magical systems. Your main character, too, is very relatable and an excellent voice for YA. While I enjoyed so many elements of this manuscript, in the end, I’m not sure that I have the editorial vision to take this to the next level."

True TeresaJRhyne, but she just opened her QueryManager form. It can take a while for agency websites to catch up.
