Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Leave comments about your experiences with this literary agent, or read what other authors have to say.

Thanks guys! One thing I can point to is that this whole endeavor takes a very long time. Every step of the way takes a very long time. Not going to post stats or time frames because it's just discouraging. But if we believe in our work, it will happen. Patience and perseverance. I'm still telling myself that.

I'm thrilled to say I'm now represented by Jennifer Mishler. Fran Black at the same agency was able to get my first book published through E-Lit Books, and Jennifer ended up offering representation based on my next manuscript. It's now out on submission. I'm a little surprised at actually getting to say those words! The ladies at Literary Counsel are fantastic.
